WELCOME YULEE LEE: Proskuneo’s new Administrative Steward!
For 25 years, Proskuneo has been learning what it means to make space for the integration and unity of the global church. As we enter this next season, we are also learning to structure our organization differently—moving from a traditional organizational model toward a movement model that creates greater freedom for ministry and creativity to flourish.
Today, we are delighted to welcome Yulee Lee to the Proskuneo team as our new Administrative Steward!
Meet Yulee
Yulee is an executive leader, coach, speaker, author, and co-founder of Khora Collective, a nonprofit devoted to cultivating healthy and redemptive leadership among Asian American Christian leaders. As a Korean American Christian leader, Yulee brings a rich perspective shaped by faith, culture, organizational leadership, and a deep commitment to helping people and organizations flourish. She holds a PhD in Organizational Leadership from Trinity International University, a Master’s in Public Policy from the University of Chicago, and a bachelor’s degree in Political Science from Tufts University.
And, just as importantly, Yulee loves gathering people around tables, creating meaningful conversations, keeping up with the latest K-dramas, and laughing loudly at life's small and silly moments. She believes that joy, too, is part of living fully.
We are grateful that God has brought Yulee into this particular season of Proskuneo.
A New Kind of Role for a New Kind of Structure
The position Yulee is stepping into is brand new for Proskuneo. As we move toward a movement model, we recognized that we need someone whose primary responsibility is not to direct ministry, control what happens at the edges, or determine what counts as “fruitful” ministry.
Instead, the Administrative Steward exists to hold the center steady so the movement can remain free at the edges.
That means tending the things that make healthy movement possible: legal and organizational compliance, finances and administrative systems, communication, policies, onboarding, risk management, and the countless small details that can easily become invisible until something goes wrong.
We believe this kind of work is deeply important. Healthy movements need freedom and flexibility, but freedom requires a trustworthy center. Someone needs to make sure the systems are clear, the finances are sound, the legal responsibilities are cared for, information is accessible, and people know where to turn when they need help navigating the structures that hold us together.
That is the work of a steward. And, it is especially important as we seek to live into our vision of making spaces for the integration and healing of the global church. We want Proskuneo to be a place where people from many cultures, languages, backgrounds, and communities can bring their gifts and participate in what God is doing. That requires spaciousness—but it also requires faithful stewardship of the center.
Welcome to Proskuneo, Yulee! We are excited to see how God will use your gifts, wisdom, joy, and leadership among us in this next chapter.
